We take the collection, storage and protection of data very seriously. In light of recent changes to data handling legislation (GDPR) here is an overview of our data handling processes and systems, which fall in line with GDPR policy.
How we collect and keep your personal data
We store all client data on a single desk-based computer, which is password protected. The data is exclusively stored entirely on one hard drive on a single database solution called Light Blue. The version of Light Blue used is fully GDPR compliant. If you decide to book us we will only keep information that is necessary for us to carry out our work as photographers (such as email addresses, home address and telephone numbers). We will keep this information on our database for the period required to complete the work, plus a further period of 12 months (in case we need to correspond about additional products such as albums or prints after a shoot). After that period we will only retain a single email address as a point of contact.
If you send us a general enquiry about a photo shoot, and subsequently don’t book us, we will delete all data (such as email addresses and telephone numbers) after a 3 month period.
Use of Photos
If you book us to photograph your wedding, as standard we do include terms in our contract allowing us to use photographs on our website and social media pages. However if you would prefer us not to share any images at all, we can remove this from our contract and we will refrain from sharing any of your images at all. If third parties approach us for your photographs we would only pass these on with your express permission. When storing your photos online for viewing and downloading, these galleries are also fully password protected. The galleries are removed after a period of 18 months.
