About us
Do you both take pictures?
Yes, we both take pictures. We share the responsibility of shooting on wedding days, and whilst we both have our own strengths, we are both ‘lead’ photographers. One of the main reasons that people hire us is that we are a husband and wife team. This means that you not only get improved coverage from two photographers, but also the consistency of a team that shoot every wedding together, and have built up a unique shooting style.
Can we print and share images?
Absolutely. The photos are fully edited and ready to be used for making prints or wall art (frames, canvases etc). We also offer the option of designing and producing custom made albums for you. The only restriction on tyour images is that you can’t sell them on for commercial purposes (which is unlikely anyway!)
Do you take group shots?
We do, although we recommend limiting the time for group shots to around thirty minutes, which is roughly seven to nine group shots- more than enough for most couples. Whilst groups are important we feel it’s essential you have enough time for relaxed bride and groom portraits, as well as natural documentary shots too. It also means that your guests aren’t hanging around for endless group shots. If you have a long, long list of formal group shots and prescribed shots that you want then we‘d recommend booking a photographer with a more traditional approach.
What is your turnaround time for wedding photos?
It typically takes up to 7 weeks from the date of the wedding for the photos to be ready.
How much is the booking fee?
The booking fee is £450. The payment of this fee, along with a signed contract/booking form secures our services. The balance of your package is due 1 month prior to your wedding date.
Where are you based?
We are based in Purley in Surrey but shoot weddings across the whole of the UK, as well as destination weddings internationally.
Are you insured?
Yes. We have full public liability cover. It is absolutely essential that your wedding photographer has this kind of cover.
Do we have to provide you with meals at our wedding?
No. We appreciate that it’s already going to cost you a lot to cater for all your guests, so we are perfectly happy to bring along our own sandwiches. If you do decide to provide food for us, we will be very grateful. For a 7 or 8 hour wedding we generally take a 40 minute break, whilst you and your guests sit down for your wedding breakfast.
What equipment do you use?
We use pro-level Canon mirrorless cameras We currently both shoot with the Canon R6 and a collection of fast zoom and prime lenses. Where possible we shoot with available light, but at certain times we use off-camera flash, for example during the first dance.
How many pictures will we get?
It depends on your wedding, and also the amount of coverage you decide to take up. But for a 7 hour wedding package you can expect to get in the region of 330+ high resolution images.
Can you recommend other suppliers?
Absolutely. We have been lucky enough to work with some fantastic suppliers over the course of 300+ weddings. In particular we would recommend the services of DJ’s DJ2K, who also provide photo booths, DJ Brian Mole, the florists Emma Floral Designs, the talented videographers Look Back and Remember and London Wedding Videographer Floating Castle. If you are looking for a bridal shop for your wedding dress, then we would very highly recommend Bride by Aster (Hannah is lovely, very professional and her wedding dresses just beautiful). For bridal party robes and pyjamas we would highly recommend Made Your Day.
