This grade 2 listed building has to be one of our favourite London registry offices. Located in Morden in South London, it not only benefits from being a really handsome building (and therefore great for wedding portraits and group shots) but is also situated right by lovely park and woodland.
A lot of couples have pre-conceptions about registry office, i.e. that they are modern, utilitarian ugly buildings, but this certainly isn’t the case with registry offices like this one. The main room for conducting the marriage ceremony has a really good capacity and is also light and airy. The main hallway and stairs are also a beautiful location for portrait shots too.
For Helen and Ben’s wedding we made sure that we utilised both the interior and exterior locations for their portraits. The day itself was a lovely warm autumnal day and we were gifted with some really beautiful and dramatic light for their outside portraits. In fact, that sequence of portraits (especially where they are dancing together) are one of our favourite sets of bride and groom wedding portraits.
