Wow, we just LOVED shooting this wedding! We got on so well with Dan and Sara from the moment we met them in a bar in Kingston- I guess we shared a similar outlook and sense of humour, and we knew from that point that, even if they had their wedding in a branch of McDonalds, it would still be an amazing affair!
As is so often the case now we split our coverage for the early part of the day so that one of us covered the bridal preps, and the other covered the guys at the pub. This is one of the biggest advantages of us working as a husband and wife team 🙂
St Ignatius Church in Sunbury was the location for their church service, which is a beautiful church with a very welcoming feel. The rain made its arrival just before the start of the service and then stayed with us right through to the evening. And whilst this was a little bit of a shame, as we couldn’t shoot in the grounds of Beaumont Estate, the venue was so lovely that we could still get some great portraits for Dan and Sara. The room they selected for their reception was absolutely stunning as you will see from this selection of photos. It was originally a chapel, built in the 14th century and both the room itself, and the stained glass windows are breathtaking- we just had to incorporate them into the portraits! It also made for an amazing backdrop to the first dance photos (one of which you will see below is possibly our favourite and most dramatic first dance shot of 2016!).
The speeches were wonderful too. In fact Sara’s speech has to be our favourite speech of the year so far- both funny and beautifully touching. More brides giving speeches please!
We hope you like this selection of photos from this wonderful wedding. If you are thinking of booking Beaumont Estate for your wedding and are still looking for wedding photographers why not fill our this simple form and we’ll get back to you with our availability and more info.
